This really has to be one of a kind. At least I have never heard of a sweepstakes from a Hotel where they are offering such a Grand Prize. Hampton is offering in their Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes a Prize package where you can win a FREE stay for yourself and 100 friends. Plus $5000 in cash to help with the tax for the weekend. I highly encourage you to go check it out.
Not so long ago I was doing a lot of traveling and out of curiosity I decided to call up some major hotel chains and see if I could get a complimentary room for the weekend. It was to be one of the last weekends on a major sponsorship I had been doing for kids. So really I just wanted to see if they would be willing to provide us with a room for free before flying home.
Several big chains declined and only a few would even discuss it without saying, "manager this or manager that" but once I got Hampton on the phone they were more than happy to help.
I'd like to say that they were one of the friendliest if not the friendliest stay I had on this particular trip. And it was all free as well. They even called the room asking if everything was OK and if we needed anything else to make our stay more comfortable. "Nope were more than comfortable" we told them. And we were!
Now put us in the Grand Prize with a 100 of our friends, maybe not so friendly. But I'd bet my life they would be. And 100 of my friends would be a handful including myself. But what a weekend this would be. Just in time for the summer to come to an end and go out with a bang!
What would we do? Well I would do some discussing with the a group of the closest friends and I'm sure Vegas would come to mind or possibly some beach town. But hey I live in a small community and there is one close by...but nah, we would definitely make it a weekend away from home.
