Watching Chicago Sports on TV

Guest Post by Jamie Miller

My husband literally cannot wait for baseball season to begin so that he can start watching sports on TV in the summer and watch his favorite Chicago baseball team play. He could watch the Chicago White Sox play baseball, all day. He always claims that his viewing experience is enhanced because he watches his baseball on Satellite TV.

I like to watch the direct tv premium movie channels instead. Although I also enjoy watching baseball, I am not a fanatic about it. I like all Chicago sports teams and always wish each team the best of luck when they play. Although there's nothing like seeing a Chicago sporting event live, there is something to be said about watching the event in the comfort of your own home, especially when surrounding by the company of family and friends.

No matter where we lived I think my husband would continue to be a diehard Chicago sports fan. From the Chicago Blackhawks to the Chicago Bulls. In fact, we were all elated when our Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup after years of trying. The city reveled in the win and many even attended the celebration parade that was held in Downtown Chicago.

There sure is nothing like watching sports on TV in the summer, except for actually being at a live event. Although hockey is not exactly a summer sport, the playoffs extended into the Spring season, so it was a nice way to begin our tradition of watching sports on TV in the Summer. If this winning streak keeps up, we can again look forward to watching.
