The Appealing Nature Of The NFL

Guest post by Dana Osborn

Bone-crushing hits. 70-yard passes right on the money. Jukes and shakes that leave defenders in the dust. And trick plays that keep the cameramen guessing. This is the NFL and there is no other sport like it in the entire world. These athletes are the best of the best. They are the biggest, strongest, and fastest.

If I ever miss a week of NFL games, I feel sad. That might sound simple, but it's the most factual way I can put it. Luckily, I now use my Free on Demand from direct tv deals to make sure I don't miss any games. And once I'm sitting down and ready to go, I don't want any distractions. This is my time to escape from the world and enjoy some form of alternate reality that helps me relieve stress. And the coolest part is that I'm always rooting for someone who has a chance to win.

Why? Because I have no favorite team and I try to watch games where the team that is losing isn't far behind. I love rooting for underdogs that are still in the game. That said, if a favorite is losing by a slim margin, I will root for them too. I guess I will always root for the team that is losing. The only time I'm disappointed is when the game is over because the team that is losing has lost.
