Wow! After reading some headlines today it's perfectly clear his name is in mudd in Cleveland. From burning the dudes jerseys to saying he wimped out and basically quit during the playoffs may be going a little too far. But is it?
Let's take a look at the way he handled it first of all. From my perspective it is like owners who have allowed their players to find out about a trade via the news media. You know the ones who were traded without prior knowledge only to find out from a second hand source. Alot could be learned here from and for both sides. It's not professional in my opinion to trade someone without first discussing this with them and letting them know what your intentions are, the reasons ect.
The same as it's not professional for an athelete to parade around for weeks like Lebron did and leave his hometown faithful in limbo. From Larry King during the playoffs to the Espn lack of drama last night. Oh and using the kids as your backdrop was poor taste. It only shows us how unclassy you really are. It was just another ploy to try to get the monkey your now carrying off. Won't work, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck it must be a duck.
It's unprofessional. And I agree with your former boss Lebron that if your such a superstar why would you need to go to another team and surround yourself with guys who should be ecstatic to play against you to win, not with you. In other words isn't it more competitive to want to beat these guys on the court than to someday look back and say, I won a Championship Ring, but I had to compromise my image to do it.
You'll never be a Michael Jordan or a Kobe,..... Lebrun your Mudd! Not because you left but the way you handled your leaving. You could have gotten alot more respect by addressing the issue of leaving in Cleveland. Tell it to the fans from home. But no you had to make a circus out of it. Well let's see how your high flying act tours from here. I've never been a Lebron fan, but now I'm a Cleveland fan that's for sure.
I do hope Cleveland wins a Championship long before you. Anybody gotta match, I got some things like sports cards to burn.
