The top five of the BCS standings

No.1 FLORIDA  No.2 TEXAS  No.3 ALABAMA  No.4 IOWA               No.5 CINCINNATI
Just a look at whats ahead in this weekends college football games and standings in the BCS or BSC as I like to call it.
Right now the Florida Gators are at the top and they would have to lose before any team could grab that spot away from them. Texas is holding strong at the number two spot and Mack Brown thinks that is right where they deserve to be, if not on top. So much praise has been given to the SEC and deserving in my opinion but Mack thinks that the Big 12 gets slighted when it comes to recognition. Really the only other team in the big 12 that you can harp on is the Oklahoma Sooners and with the lose of Bradford I believe it took some of the oomph out of their game. KU, KState, Texas Tech, A & M, Nebraska, Colorado and Oklahoma St. are worth mentioning but not in any BCS talk! Oklahoma St. may get a shot to play in a BCS game if they win out and remain in the top 18 or better.
As for Texas and Florida, both teams should have little difficulty remaining unbeaten. The number three ranking belongs to Alabama and that brings us to this weekend. They will have what appears to be a tough challenge in playing LSU but they will be at home so they should have the advantage. I say don't take LSU lightly though. Their known to win tough games any given Saturday. Only a few other match ups are worth mentioning. No. 15 Ohio State at No. 11 Penn State.  21 Wisconsin at Indiana. You say why did I mention the Indiana game? They gave Iowa a little scare last week more so than the scoreboard reflects. I like Penn State over OSU in that game. All others in the top 25 should go as expected as well.
All eyes are on Notre Dame for a bid at a BCS game right now and it's only for the revenue that they would bring in. Look for them to lose either this week against Navy or next week at Pittsburgh! At least I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I like Notre Dame about as much as I like the Yankees. Too much exposure, too much hype surrounds these organizations.
