Off to the Races at Ellis Park!

Author: Joyce Mccall

One of my favorite ways to spend a summer day is to take a trip to Ellis Park for a day of horse racing action. There is nothing more fun than cheering for your favorite horse as he crosses the finish line ahead of the competition. My favorite trips to Ellis Park are those in which I leave the track with more money in my pocket than I had when I set my Home security system before leaving my house!

In addition to wagering on horses, Ellis Park offers a variety of snacks and beverages and a quaint gift shop for visitors. There are typically ten races on each live racing day, with races beginning at approximately 1:00 in the afternoon and continuing every thirty minutes. Ellis Park offers numerous betting options, including exacta wagers, trifecta wagers, superfecta wagers, and pick three and four wagers. Ellis Park is located in Henderson, Kentucky, which is only two hours from Louisville, Kentucky. The drive to and from Ellis Park is quite scenic, and offers several picturesque views of the Ohio River. I enjoy making the trip with my husband, who became a major fan of Ellis Park after I took him there for the first time six years ago.

If you are searching for the perfect day trip, I would suggest a trip to Ellis Park. I would be willing to bet that you will love it!
