Paul Pierce will be all about gaining the well deserved respect he's due. For the nine players drafted ahead of him in the 1998 draft, really only one name stands out and that's Dirk Nowitzki. Do any of those even have a Championship ring yet other than Pierce?
He's played 12 seasons and has scored more points than every Boston player ever except John Havlicek and the Famous Larry Bird. Of course no one ever thinks about the Celtics and doesn't' think about Larry Bird. After tonight Pierce is hoping his name is going to be always mentioned as well.
