New Moon held the #1 spot in the box office for 2 weeks and then it was hit by 'The Blind Side'. An adoption story about a young man who at the age of 15 was taken in by a well to do family in Memphis. Micheal Oher who is the subject of the movie was living on the streets for the most part and caring for himself. Having been semi-raised by a crack addict he needed help with the basics. Begging for food from the neighbors and hiding from social services, he spent his days on the basketball court in hopes of being the next Michael Jordan. It wasn't meant to be. Michael Oher was too big to pass up....by the football coach. So after Sean (Tim McGraw) and Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) took on the challenge of raising him, he might well be the NFL Rookie of the Year. That is not just a credit to Them but to Michael and his overcoming adversity and his own self determination. Great True Story and Great Movie.
