The main Event for WSOP is set to begin in four days and in a fan poll most think that Phil Ivey will come from behind to win it all. If he does he will take home a whopping $8,546,435. That folks is the first place prize! Wow! The fun I could have with that!
The Virgin Islands, Cancun, South Africa, Australia, The Keys and I might even go to New York. Then I'd buy me a nice country home and raise hell, I mean raise cattle and horses on the farm. Milk a few goats and slop some pork critters while I listen to the coyotes howl and I can't leave out the Red Rooster and his hens. How I love waking up to the sound of a Cock-a-doodle doo. Nothing better. What a life.
OK back to reality. I'll continue to beat my keyboard and point my mouse in the usual places for now. I don't play the lottery, I'm not in the WSOP Nine and I ain't in the money but life is good.
If Phil wins like the fans predict he will he'll have to come from way behind. Right now he is 50,000,000 behind in chips and it's not impossible, though it would be staggering for him to pull it off. I'd settle for second place by taking home a mere $5.2 mil. and if Ivey goes out in 9th he will still rake in $1.25 mil. Not bad for for such a rough sport as Texas Hold'em.
