First of all we know that some things obviously took place that as a college student athlete is not appropriate. At least in the eyes of most. Personally I think that Reggie Bush should have kept his trophy and not returned it. I also appreciate the fact that he acknowledges the controversy he has created and the situation that USC has been put in.
Having said this I also think that while big time colleges are swimming in the dollars made from these youngsters and the coaches making millions then why isn't an athlete provided with an easier way to survive the college life? For me it doesn't make sense.
While he may have screwed up, he didn't do anything that negatively impacted his play on the field. This is where I have the biggest problem with him relinquishing his Trophy. And to me it is his. While I am not a fan of USC, never have been and never will be, I disagree with what has been imposed upon them. There have been a lot of other things that have happened during the course of the past 75 years that probably were a lot worse than what Reggie did.

I would like to see him have an MVP like year in the NFL this year, lets hope he only gets better and not take a turn for the worse. Thanks Reggie, thanks for the memories of your all out effort on the playing field.
