Stephen Strasburg Rookie Card Selling on Ebay

I've collected my fair share of cards and other memorabilia but I do not ever recall such a fascination with a card or player for that matter who's value has skyrocketed faster than the Indy 500. I've had autographed Joe Montana's, Rookie Marcus Allen and Michael Jordans galore. Notice I say I did have until some crack head snuck in and stole them yrs. ago. But that's another story.

Have you seen the Stephen Strasburg Rookie card going for an unbelievable amount on Ebay? You might get an idea as to how anticipated his debut is when you check out the current bidding for the 2010 Bowman Chrome Superfractor card (only one such card was made), which currently stands (as of 9:05 p.m. ET, on Tuesday, May 25) at $14,099.99 ... and steadily rising. Good news! The card comes with free shipping.

I took a look at it when I seen a story about it on Yahoo. Let me say it again as it deserves repeating. Dude has yet to throw a pitch in the Major Leagues. Some one else is smoking crack on this one let me tell ya. I doubt the card would be worth that amount in 25yrs. even if he's a hall of famer and 300 game winner by then. I mean let's get real.

Oh well wish I had that kind of money to burn. He is slinging his way up through the minor league and will probably be called up any day now but $14,000 + I don't get it, I guess cause I don't have it.
