During the time, way back in the day, when all the talk about California was going to eventually fall off into the Sea due to all the erosion's ect., I remember a guy told me that Texas never would because Oklahoma sucks! I thought it was quite funny at the time because I truly don't care nothing about Oklahoma sports, and my Dad lived in Texas then so I rooted for them .........just a little. Me having come from the Bluegrass state (yeah I capitalized Bluegrass it comes with the territory) and growing up for several years in Kansas I never cared much for either team so I wished they could both lose every time they play. That would at least give KU a little advantage and God knows they've always needed it in the game of football when it came to playing these two Brokeback states.
So today we have the hyped up Red River Rivalry. I don't know for sure what to think, guess I should do some research from the recent years' past games and see how close they were, or I could listen to sportscenter and let them tell me how the outcome is gonna be. Nah, I think I'll just keep wishing they could both lose and in my feeble old mind truly believe they will cause no matter what happens I still can't root for either because of my beloved Jayhawks who this year may come out with a better record than both, but still not get the recognition they deserve. So for all you Brokeback Red River Fans may Texas fall into the sea and the Red River rise and float Oklahoma right behind ya! There I said it, Go KU!
