The buzz is that an agreement has been reached in a new contract deal for Eli Manning. The New York Giants and Manning agreed on an extension that will pay him 97 Million dollars over the next 6 yrs. making him one of the highest paid players in the league.
Eli led the Giants to the Superbowl (February 2008) in an upset win over the New England Patriots and earned him MVP honors for his performance in the game.
The contract is reportedly a guaranteed 35 million signing bonus under the deal and will keep him in New York until the 2015 season. As of this writing the deal hasn't been signed yet but sources say only a review from both sides is holding it up and that it could be signed today.
